Whilst working on a project at JC Innes & Sons, Dunscroft, he met his future wife, Roseanne, and decided to stay in the North-east. They have now been joined in the company by their three sons, John-Paul, Daniel, James and daughter, Michelle. Paul’s brother, Alan, is also involved, making it a real family concern.
In 2006, Rapid Construction Ltd bought a local steel fabrication firm, and was renamed Forrest Engineering UK. This new venture concentrated mainly on the supply and erection of steel portal framed buildings for the agricultural sector. However due to continued expansion and a wider spectrum of customers, the company soon found that there was a large demand for a supplier who could manage every aspect of a project.
In October of 2008, the company was renamed, to Rapid Project Development, a title which more suitably described the service on offer.
For over twenty years, Rapid Construction offered a “turn-key” building service to both the agricultural, industrial and domestic markets.
